Movers & Shakers - Chelsea Stern!

Chelsea started her career with SureHire 8 years ago and has proven to be a relentless ambassador of what SureHire represents everyday. Read on to learn more about Chelsea:

1.) What was your original start date and job title when you started with SureHire?

June 21, 2010 – Tester at Leduc

2.) Why did you originally want to join SureHire?

SureHire was a young and growing company, and it seemed like a great opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone and try something new.

3.) Tell us about the progression of your career at SureHire/ what is your current position?

Tester – June to Dec 2010
Head Tester – Jan to Oct 2011
SureHire Testing Facility Coordinator – Nov 2011 to Dec 2012
SureHire Facility & Mobile Testing Team Lead – Jan 2013 to May 2015
Manager, Facilities & Mobile Testing – June 2015 to present

4.) Why do you like working at SureHire?

I’m extremely passionate about the service we provide and the positive impact it has in our communities – we are making workplaces safer. I also love the diversity that every day brings. New challenges and new situations that force me to think outside of the box and on the fly.

5.) What is one of your biggest accomplishments at SureHire?

Hard to choose between the development of the Mobile Department (Mobile used to be just me) or the implementation & continued evolution of the Facility Supervisor role. However, I cannot take sole credit for either - it takes a village and my village is amazing!

6.) What is a fun or random fact about yourself?

I have never broken a bone or had a cavity!

7.) Do you have a funny or memorable SureHire moment?

After 8 years, I have many. One that I laugh at now was learning how to drive the truck with the trailer when I started doing Mobile testing. Many curbs were hit, many other drivers honked and many, many dents were added to the trailer while I was learning how to park it – sorry…..IT WAS ME :)
